The mathematics department at the University of Oregon is housed in Fenton Hall. If you search on Google Maps for hotels near Fenton Hall, you'll see that there are a number of relatively inexpensive hotels within walking distance. If you call the Days Inn or the New Oregon Best Western (both on Franklin Boulevard) and mention the UO math department, you will get a discounted rate.

How to get to UO

From the Eugene airport:

A taxi from the Eugene airport to campus will cost about $30. This may be the most cost effective option if you are traveling with one or two other people. If you are traveling by yourself, OmniShuttle is reliable and slightly cheaper, but it's recommended that you make a reservation.

From the Portland airport:

The Hut Shuttle runs every two hours and arrives at the Phoenix Inn, only a few blocks from Fenton Hall. A cheaper but less convenient option is to take the MAX Light Rail from the airport to the Amtrak station and then take an Amtrak bus from Portland's Union Station to UO.

Around Eugene:

It should be possible to stay within walking distance of campus once you're there. If you want to see more of Eugene, there is a public bus system. Information about routes and fares is available at ltd.org.
